We have over twenty years experience in construction and thirteen years of building in the Upstate. We have built over 120 homes in the upstate and plan to be here for the long haul.
We build houses from 1200 sq ft to over 3000 sq ft. We have several plans and locations to build your dream home, on our lot or yours. We work closely with clients to design their dream home weather using our plans or one they have. We do a lot of the work ourselves, form site prep to final cleaning. We do our own design, grading, and footing (to be sure we are on solid ground,) then framing, roofing, siding, trim, ceramic tile, hardwood flooring, cleaning and punch list.
We use subcontractors who are professional, licensed and insured. We only use subcontractors that have the same goal we do: Quality! A quick walk through one of our houses will show you that we pay attention to detail, and that we don’t skimp!
We will work closely with you to make sure that you are happy all the way through. You will have the opportunity to do a punch list and then a final walk through, with the owner, Bud Spaulding to be sure you are completely satisfied, before closing.
We have a one year bottom-to-top warranty that covers defects in material and workmanship. And an 8 year structural warranty. From The Beginning
It all started in the summer of 1987, when I got my first job when I was thirteen years old as an assistant custodian at a bank. As part of my job, I had to build a float for a parade. I worked after school and summers until 1990. That summer I worked from the first day of framing to the punch list on a house that was being built by what is now SK Builders. The following summer, I went to work for a commercial masonry contractor and we laid all of the block and brick for a JC Penney. That fall, I went to work for a framer, who was a excellent teacher and a motivator. I was amazed at what 4-5 men could do in a day. I worked full time after graduation, framing, siding, roofing and building decks until I moved to South Carolina, from my home state of New Hampshire, to start my own framing business with my best friend in October of 1994.
As time passed, my business partner moved back to New Hampshire and I stayed to continue my job as a framer. We worked for many local builders and a few track builders, from Chesnee, to Anderson and Travelers Rest, to Simpsonville, Meeting some great people and Learning a lot on the way. sometimes framing a house a day! In 1998, I built my first personal house in Lyman SC from start to finish. I LOVED building so much that I decided that was what I wanted to do as a career, so I went to school and got my Builder’s License that year, and built one pre-sold and one spec-home. The spec-home sat with no buyers for eight months, and I was about to give up when one day, I got a contract to sell, as well as a contract to build another house just like it! The building business is like that. One day, you are down and wondering “What did I do wrong?” and the next you are ready to do it all again! Since 1998, I have built over 120 houses ranging in size from 1,200 square feet to 3,500 square feet all across the Upstate and have many satisfied customers.
